The future is ‘dusty’ pink

The Pantone colour of 2018 was Ultra Violet but I did not see it applied to interiors as much as they anticipated.  Definitively the predominant colour of 2018 was pink. Not a baby or a bright pink but an elegant dusty pink which has some notes of grey.

I think this is a colour trend that is going to continue well on 2019 as more brands are making products using this tone.

Farrow & Ball has recently introduced 9 new colours and between them there is the Sulking Room Pink http://eu.farrow-ball.com/sulking-room-pink/paint-colours/farrow-ball/fcp-product/100295, a muted rose that can be used not only in bedrooms but will be extremely elegant and warm in a living room as in the photo below.

The Milan Salone del Mobile was full of pink furniture, we particularly liked the pink bedroom by Sicis, leader in mosaic tiles who have exported their patterns to the total home and the chest of drawers by Novamobili that will surely add a warm accent to a modern interior.
